Description :: APEL (Accounting Processor for Event Logs) is a tool that gathers CPU accounting information by parsing batch system and blah accounting log files and inserts it into a local MySQL database. APEL then publishes the data into a centralised repository.

Release Notes :: APEL has been completely rewritten in python. This version (4.1.0) of APEL Publisher is compatible only with APEL Parsers 2.1.0 and above. Sites installing EMI-3 APEL should follow the instructions in the APEL Client Upgrade Plan. New capabilities: Option for accounting of nodes and cores used by a job (not yet supported for SGE) Option for accounting local jobs SLURM batch system supported Option to send accounting records in CAR format Option to send summaries of accounting data (more efficient) The documentation has also been completely rewritten.
